I just found a fascinating
interview with Paul Colman. If you don't know, Paul Colman is the newest member of the Newsboys, but before that, he was the leader of the Paul Colman Trio, who also have some songs I like. In this interview, the interviewer starts by asking, "How do you, personally, define 'Christian Music'?" Paul's answers give a lot of insight into where he is as a Christian and rock star. The issues of performance versus worship leading ministry that he discusses is something that our youth worship team has struggled with at church. If we've struggled with it, I can't imagine the tensions involved in being in an internationally known band. This interview is insightful both about Christian music in general, and about Paul Colman (as a solo artist and as a Newsboy). It's worth reading. Here's the link:
