Help our 5th family out
Thursday, 09 December 2010
Yesterday I told you on here that we were going to help a 5th family with the extra money we had left over. I called Malika and asked her to give me some more information about her family and how we could help them and this morning I received that email from Malika and it literally brought me to tears. I wanted to share it with you, and if you felt led to help us even more with this family it would certainly be appreciated. Read the email below and then keep reading to see how your money is going to help this family and how they could use your help!

Break down on how the $484.54 + $25.00 (another donation added)= $509.54 that you gave will be spent.
1. a portion of it will go to buy walmart, target, bi-lo gift cards to go back to the homeless shelter
2. a portion of it will go towards buying a few toys to give to the shelter
3. the rest will go towards the items above that have been marked through in red, this will prevent an item from being bought more than once.
As you know, from the above list the money will go rather quickly, thats why I wanted to give others an opportunity to give, and to give something more than just money this time. If you have not had the chance to already help, here is your opportunity, there are 2 ways you can help this family and homeless shelter.
1. Go out and purchase some clothes or a gift card to a local restaurant/grocery store in order to provide her a Christmas meal for Malika and her family, the sizes are listed in her email above, before December 21st.
Additional suggested items to be purchased or donated.
-wrapping papter and wrapping supplies
-manicure and pedicure
-hair cut(s)
Here are 2 ways to get them to me to get them to her:
