Celebrity Today Movie Report - 12/28/09

Here we are! The final movie report of the year, and it will be a short one because there isn’t much new coming out this final week of the year. At the box office, Avatar managed to beat out the new arrivals at the box office, Sherlock Holmes and the Alvin & The Chipmunks sequel, by taking in another $75 million at the box office. Holmes came in second place with $65 million in its first week of release. No new movies set to hit theaters this Friday, so we will have to wait and see what happens next Monday with the new 2010 movie report. Avatar is already on its way to $1 billion world wide though with $617 million earned in its first week. Check out the list of few releases we do have this week below.
