Business Meeting on the Internet

Tuesday, 31 January 2012

No denying that the world has morphed into an instant Internet-based society, where communication takes the highest priority. Corporate communications have evolved way farther than personal chats on the Web and reached the ultimate online video conferencing.

With falling Internet costs falling and rising broadband speeds, the online option has become not only attractive but very viable. Two or more people at different geographical locations can actually talk as if they were facing each other across a meeting table – the experience is seamless.

The set-up could as simple as a webcam and a computer an Internet connection or it could be very sophisticated involving dedicated servers and HD projectors. In case, for small and large companies, it just means the convenience of having an executive come together to discuss crucial, time-sensitive matters on the fly, and without and the travel and hotel expenses.
