Fujitsu MBD2300 and MBE2147 Enterprise-class SAS drives

Fujitsu announced its new MBD2300 and MBE2147 2.5-inch SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) enterprise drives. Both of them utilize the 6Gb/sec. SAS-2 interface for maximum performance.
Fujitsu MBD2300 SAS operates at 10,000RPM and is available in 147GB (MBD2147RC) and 300GB (MBD2300RC) storage capacities. Fujitsu’s MBE2147, instead, runs at 15,000 RPM and has 73.5GB (MBE2073RC) of 147GB (MBE2147RC) space. They have 16MB buffer.
The MBD2300 and MBE2147 are Fujitsu’s first enterprise SAS series that make use of the perpendicular magnetic recording.
