It’s a beautiful sunny day outside today. Looks like it’s going to be one of the last real nice days of summer, but alas, I’m stuck indoors.
There’s a house being built behind us and the workmen started arriving around 7am this morning – only to be barked at by my two sweet Sheltie dogs for an hour straight! So now my furkids are grounded and I’m with them. For some reason they refrain from barking indoors so being inside is possibly the safest option for all of us today, at least until 4pm when the workers pack their van and finish for the day. Considering the noise level I can’t even blame them for wanting to protect the property from intruders… there’s shouting, hollering, noisy radios playing (I think at least 2) and the clattering scaffolding being assembled.
I may use the day to finally write to some friends of mine who live abroad and still don’t have email and thus require the old handwritten letter – not an easy thing for me because the joints in my fingers are still hurting and I’m having trouble holding a pen. Needless to say my penmanship isn’t so neat these days!!!
I have an appointment with a specialist doctor in two weeks’ time and maybe he can shed some light on what’s going on inside my body. In the meantime I’ll just have to be patient – and that’s probably the hardest bit. It’s probably quite natural to fear the Unknown, but I know that whatever is going on – Jesus already knows about it and HE won’t give me more than I’m able to bear.
Praise God for his loving kindness and great mercies!!!
